Scott Carpenter
Partner & Chief Operating Officer
Scott joined NorthWall Capital in July 2024. He is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer.
Scott has over 30 years’ experience in a wide variety of financial management roles around the world.
Prior to NorthWall, Scott worked for 11 years at a multi-strategy alternative asset manager called Alpha Wave Global where he was a Day 1 employee and COO. In this role, he was responsible for the establishment and ongoing management of the firms operational, legal, compliance and risk systems and procedures. This involved managing a team of over 50 professionals in London, New York, Abu Dhabi and Bangalore. Alpha Wave manages ~$19 billion in private equity, private credit, venture capital and listed equity mandates across nine countries with a particular focus on the US and the GCC region.
Prior to Alpha Wave Scott was the Global Head of Operations for 8 years at a leading alternative credit platform called CQS where he was also the Company Secretary for the CQS Management entities and chair of the CQS Control Committee. During this time, he helped to build out the firm’s infrastructure as the AUM increased from $2 billion to over $11 billion.
Prior to CQS Scott spent 10 years working for Credit Suisse in a variety of operational management roles in London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, Brisbane and Wellington. He started his career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust (now JP Morgan) and the Bank of New York in their respective Operations departments in London.
Scott completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2010.
